We study the interplay between magnetism, band structure topology, and superconductivity with the aim of realizing robust topological states as future building blocks for quantum computation. Our project combines fabrication, experiments, materials simulations, and solid-state theory in order to study Majorana bound states based on magnetic topological insulators with proximity-induced superconductivity.
The MAGMA project is part of the European QuantERA programme for Research and Innovation in Quantum Technologies (quantera.eu) has started in the Summer of 2022.
